Life Purpose, Soul's Calling  - May 12, 2018

Discovering purpose or confirming that we are on the correct route in life, is a daunting task many of us long to explore but do not know where to begin. This retreat will start you on the journey to revealing your soul’s longing. Humans long to be connected to this world in a deeper and more meaningful way starting with relationships to others and the sacred. When we first reconnect with ourselves, and get out of our brains, we are able to access our hidden self, which then guides us through decisions today that will affect our tomorrow.  You don’t need to change, you already have everything you need to do what you came here to do, you just need to get clear, drop your armor and move forward with intention. We will combine activities, meditation and mindfulness, journaling, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), labyrinth walk, silence, art and working with horses on this beautiful day of revelation and discovery to rediscover your unique gifts. Each of our facilitators brings years of experience to what will be a life-changing journey. No experience is expected or required in meditation or with horses. We welcome everyone and this retreat is powerful and life-changing no matter where you are along your path.  Afterwards for those that are able, we will have a fire circle with drumming to end under the stars. There are several Airbnb options close by as well, so come and make a weekend of it! Limited to 12.  Use the calendar below to register.

Incredible Life-Changing Saturdays!

Dancing with the Rhythm of Nature  April 14, 2018 and a Fall 2018 Date TBD

Join us for a beautiful day of mindfulness, drumming and dancing!  We are going to spend time together enjoying the rhythm of nature while learning that truly connecting to ourselves frees us to allow our energy to flow and engage with a greater understanding of who we were created to be and to find empowerment in that discovery. Spring is the season of new life, when the earth bursts forth from her long winter's sleep with nourishing rains, lush green grass, and flowers in full bloom. What does it feel like in your body when you allow yourself to bloom with Mother Nature? To open to the love and simple joy of feeling the sun on your face and the breeze on your skin? When you blossom into your full, authentic self? Qoya is an intentional movement practice based on the idea that through movement, we remember. We remember who we are. We remember our intricate connection with Mother Nature and what it feels like to live in harmony with her sacred rhythm. We remember that our true essence as women is Wise, Wild, and Free. We live in an age of disembodiment. As women we are more disconnected from our bodies than ever before, working in front of screens and existing solely from our heads. But our bodies contain wisdom. Our bodies are the link to the instinctual truths that live deep within our bones. Our bodies are the amazing living vessels through which we get to experience this thing called life. Through Qoya movement, we begin to access the truth that lives within our bodies and trust our intuition. Instead of judging and analyzing our bodies, we begin to experience life with and through them.
The great thing about Qoya is that there is no way to do it wrong. The way that you know you are doing it right is that feels GOOD to you. Even more than it feeling good, is that it feels true. Through Qoya, you experience the physical sensation of truth - what is true for you - and gain the confidence and clarity to follow that truth. No experience is expected or required in meditation, Qoya, drumming or with horses.  We invite you to join us at South Wind Equestrian Center for DANCING WITH NATURE. During this one-day retreat you will experience what it means to approach life free from fear, insecurity, and approach it with confidence, calmness, clarity and deep trust. You will shift your perspective from the future being something to be afraid of or something that needs to be controlled, into a beautiful world where everything is possible. Through Qoya intentional movement, drumming, connecting energetically with horses, walking the labyrinth, experiencing nature and her rhythm along with journaling and mindfulness exercises, you will rediscover yourself and your own personal power that will transform your life! Limited to 10. Register below.

Mindfulness and Empowerment  Fall 2018

Join us for a day of mindfulness and empowerment at our hidden oasis to rediscover intuition, creativity and personal power.  We will integrate meditation throughout the day with journaling, feel music, walk the labyrinth, hike in nature alone and together, in silence, and enjoy time with one another as we process through our experience together. In addition, we will work with horses on the ground in a deeply connected way.  Horses are 100% focused on the present. They don’t dwell in the past or worry about the future.  Just being around them can help us slow down, focus and become present and attuned to ourselves, our environment and those in our circle of influence. Remember the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results. I promise, once you feel what real connection feels like, you will not settle for anything less, ever again.  Limited to 10.  Use the calendar below to register.

Finding Your True Voice - Accessing Creativity Through Mindfulness - May 19, 2018

For most of us creativity is not something we can turn on and off. It is, for lack of a better term, a headspace that we have to enter into whereupon the brain is in a wakeful resting state. This is termed action-based mindfulness. Creativity happens during unfocused, wakeful rest when we have the opportunity to see things in a different way, make new associations and strike upon new ideas. One of the greatest obstacles to creativity is distraction. These distractions can prevent us from engaging even small efforts of creativity, like a project idea or a marketing strategy. The bottom line is that, in order to access our creativity, we need to find the silence within ourselves to create a space of allowing. This is where mindfulness can give us an opportunity to find that silence; the silence that allows us to find our true voice.
